Principle of screen printing

Screen printing belongs to hole printing. It is called four printing methods together with flat printing, convex printing and gravure printing.

It refers to making screen printing plates with pictures and texts by using a screen as a plate base and a photosensitive plate-making method. Screen printing consists of five elements: screen printing plate, squeegee, ink, printing table and printing stock. According to the basic principle that the meshes of the picture and text part of the screen printing plate can pass through the ink and the meshes of the non-picture and text part cannot pass through the ink, printing is carried out. During printing, ink is poured into one end of the screen printing plate, a scraper is used to exert a certain pressure on the ink part on the screen printing plate, and the ink moves towards the other end of the screen printing plate at a constant speed, and the ink is squeezed to the printing material from the meshes of the graphic part by the scraper during the movement.
