There are many printing methods for paper cups, and different printing methods have different printing characteristics.
1.Offset printing
Offset printing uses the principle of mutual repulsion between oil and water. Selected papers from the Graphics and Text Department. The film promotional paper cups are divided into lipophilic and water-resistant parts, and the blank part is hydrophilic and oil-resistant. The graphics and text are transferred to the substrate through a blanket roller. The advantage of offset printing paper cups is that the patterns are full, bright and clear. Whether it is gradients or small and fine lines, they can be better displayed, making the appearance of the paper cup more beautiful and more attractive to customers. However, offset printing is not suitable for printing edible paper cups because offset printing ink is not very environmentally friendly.
2.Silk screen
Silk screen printing machine has great flexibility and applicability due to its soft and elastic layout. It is not only suitable for printing on soft items such as paper and cloth, but also suitable for printing on hard items such as glass, ceramics, etc., and is not limited by the surface shape and area of the substrate. However, the advantages of screen printing paper cups cannot be well reflected, and screen printing has great limitations on the reproduction of graphics and text, and there are certain difficulties in processing gradients and reproducing image accuracy.
3. Flexo printing
Flexo printing is called "green printing" because it uses water-based inks. Nowadays, many companies' product outer packaging is developing in the direction of flexo printing. Since the structure of the flexo printing machine is relatively simple, compared with the huge body and expensive material cost of the offset printing machine, the flexo printing machine is "thin". In terms of cost, the equipment investment of a flexo printing machine is lower than that of an offset printing machine of the same scale, and can generally save as much as 30% to 40%. The small production investment attracts small printing companies to join. Flexo printing is not as narrow in the selection of original materials as screen printing, and the color regulations are also relatively broad, but it is still inferior to offset printing. Flexo printing is the main process used for paper cup printing. The printing quality of paper cups depends to a large extent on the printing quality.
